Dec 9, 2010 Logistics

LOGWIN has opened a new high-end logistics centre in Shanghai to meet growing demand from international and local customers for value-added services. The facility in the Waigaoqiao free trade zone, covers 2,000 square metres, and includes a processing zone, a bonded area, warehousing, and temperature-controlled storage.

"This facility, which is ideally located close to Waigaoqiao port and the national highway network, supports Logwin's aim to be a leading provider of high value-added logistics services in China and across the region. Many leading global brand customers have worked with Logwin for many years in other regions of the world and they expect the same level of service from us in China," said Ronnie Rong, the company's Shanghai branch manager.

Logwin, which has operated in the Waigaoqiao Bonded Area since 2000, has a Class A licence for logistics and trading in China. This enables integrated solutions throughout its network of offices and facilities. The company's IT system provides transparency and monitoring at every point in the supply chain, said a company statement.

The logistics provider also operates another warehouse facility in Baoshan for non-bonded storage, a 6,000-square metre container freight station near to Yangshan Port, and offers a range of additional services, including checking, price tagging, sorting, labelling, scanning, pick-and-pack and special packaging for fashions destined for Europe.
