A QANTAS operated Atlas Air flight recently clipped the wing of a Mesa Air passenger aircraft at Chicago's O'Hare Airport.
A spokesman from United Airlines, which contracts with Mesa Air, explained that the wingtip of the taxing Atlas Air wing tip came into contact with the tails section of the Mesa flight just as the latter was pulling in to its gate. None of the 27 passengers on board were injured.
The incident did not cause any delays or cancellations, as the Mesa Air flight was scheduled to stay at O'Hare overnight anyway, the Chicago Sun Times reported.
