Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals (Hactl) handled 254,552 metric tonnes of air cargo in November, up 5.6 percent from a year earlier, as the global economic recovery boosted cargo traffic, reported Dow Jones Newswires.
The company, which handles about 80 percent of the air cargo that passes through Hong Kong International Airport, said it handled 2.6 million tonnes of cargo in the January-November period, up 26.7 percent from a year earlier.
The company handled 146,312 tonnes of cargo exports in November, up 4.5 percent from a year earlier, and 59,531 tonnes of imports, down 1.7 percent. Its transhipment volume rose 19.9 percent to 48,709 tonnes.
