Rail eases road jam by moving boxes from Luanda to depot

THE Luanda Railway (CFL) has commenced the transfer of cargo containers from the Luanda Commercial Port to the Dry Port in Viana, outside the capital.

CFL director Aurelio Russo confirmed the containers are being carried by train without revealing any details about the schedule.

According to a source, the measure is intended to ease congestion on the roads around Luanda, mainly on routes linking the city to Viana district, reports Agencia AngloPress.
