ASL Aviation Group completes take-over of Safair

ASL AVIATION GROUP (ASL) has completed the acquisition of Safair Operations and Safair Lease Finance (Safair). This acquisition is intended to enhance ASL's three core activities: airlines, aviation support and leasing services.

With this take-over ASL now has a staff of 1,200 worldwide, a fleet of about 90 aircraft and an annual turnover of approximately EUR400 million (US$550.58 million). The group flies 70,500 flight hours annually.

ASL is a joint venture between Compagnie Maritime Belge (CMB) and 3P Air Freighters, a private equity fund managed by Petercam.
