SINGAPORE's Changi Airport Group (CAG) has signed a cooperation agreement with Munich Airport at the 20th ACI World General Assembly, the annual conference of the Airports Council International.
With this agreement, CAG chief executive Lee Seow Hiang and Munich Airport board member Michael Kerkloh reaffirmed plans for systematic expansion of the contacts between the two airports.
The goal of the cooperation is to learn from one another and continue improving processes for customers by exchanging experiences on a regular basis.
Among the provisions of the agreement is a management exchange programme to allow managers of both airports to see the processes and structures of the partner airport for themselves. The two airport heads have agreed to meet at least once a year in future to assess progress and coordinate further project stages, said the CAG communique.
"This new partnership is particularly important in view of the above-average increases in traffic between Singapore and Europe. It presents both airports with an opportunity to gain more detailed insights into each other's growth markets," it said.
