Logwin, which provides air and ocean freight and logistics services, has opened a new office in Perth.

"The location of our new facility close to Perth International Airport enables us to deliver a wide range of timely value-added freight and logistics solutions," said Thomas Kilian, country director, Logwin air and ocean, Australia.

Perth is a gateway for Western Australia which has been the focus of an economic boom focused on mining and oil and gas. At the same time there has been a significant corresponding growth in demand for logistics and distribution services across a broad range of industries. The city is also close to emerging markets in Asia and in the same time zone as Singapore, Hong Kong and Shanghai.

“Customers in Western Australia will now be able to leverage Logwin’s growing Asian and global network and Logwin’s extensive in-house knowledge and logistics expertise across a range of industries,” said Kilian.

Stephen Aylmore has been appointed branch manager in Perth and is a native of the Western Australian capital city. He has many years experience in operations and sales primarily in the WA market.
