Swiss WorldCargo's Edelweiss Air offers 6 new destinations

Nov 10, 2010 Logistics

SWISS WORLDCARGO, the cargo division of Swiss International Air Lines, has added six destinations to its route network owing to its partnership with Edelweiss Air.

With the coming winter schedule, Swiss WorldCargo will market the belly capacity of the Switzerland-based holiday airline to the destinations of Mauritius, Kilimanjaro, Goa, Pristina, Skopje and Puerto Plata.

Swiss WorldCargo's product offering continues to include the entire portfolio of Edelweiss Air destinations in Kenya, Mexico, the Maldives and Dominican Republic, Swiss said in a statement.

"The introduction of these new destinations marks one year of successful cooperation between Swiss WorldCargo and Edelweiss Air. The results, which we have achieved together, have exceeded by far our expectations. The markets served are small in volume terms, but require as much sophistication of service and reliability as any of the other vertical industry sectors which we focus on, so that both companies have benefited and will continue to enjoy new, attractive business opportunities," said Oliver Evans, chief cargo officer at Swiss WorldCargo.
