CONTAINER CORPORATION of India, an operator of inland transport services and cargo handling, has posted a second quarter net profit for the period ending September 30 of INR2.07 billion (US$46.6 million), a 1.16 per cent year-on-year increase.
Total income of the public sector company decreased to INR982.2 billion in the quarter under review from INR1.003 trillion during the same period in the last fiscal year, reports the Press Trust of India.
In the six months to September 30, the company's net profit shrunk to INR4 trillion from INR4.05 trillion for the same period last year, according to a statement from the state-run operator.
