Air Menzies International (AMI) – the world’s largest trade-only airfreight wholesaler – has strengthened its USA sales team with the addition of two highly-experienced regional Sales Managers.
Debra Adame joins AMI as Sales Manager - Houston, based at George Bush Intercontinental Airport, where she is responsible for developing AMI’s business with freight forwarders and customs brokers with particular emphasis on the region’s oil, gas and technology sectors. Debra has spent 25 years in air cargo, originally with Miami-based freighter operator Challenge Air Cargo until its purchase by UPS, followed by ten years at UPS itself - most recently in sales based in Atlanta.
Doreen Cuomo has meanwhile joined AMI as Sales Manager, JFK. Her 30-year career in airfreight –spent entirely within the JFK airfreight community - spans operational and sales roles at several leading forwarders including Pandair, AEI, C.F. Airfreight, LEP Profit and Kuehne & Nagel, together with posts at a number of aggregators including Consolidators International and Shipco Transport. Her most recent position was with Consolidators International as international sales and operations specialist for the airfreight wholesale product at JFK Airport.
Says AMI Senior VP, Peter Weir: “We are very fortunate to have secured the services of Doreen and Debra, who are two well-known, highly-experienced air cargo executives with enviable reputations in the business. Their broad-based airfreight experience with carriers, forwarders and logistics providers strengthens our claim that we understand our customers’ business from the inside, and further demonstrates our determination to help them win business by delivering the services they need.”
AMI now employs 7 sales staff across its five locations in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston and Dallas.
