THE mainland's biggest private air carrier, Hainan Airlines, plans to launch a direct service from Beijing to Cairo on November 5, Xinhua reported.
The new service will use Airbus 330, leaving Beijing at 0030 hrs, reaching Cairo at 0610 hrs every Wednesday and Friday, returning at 0810 hrs from Cairo and reaching Beijing at 2355 hrs on the same day. (All local times.)
Beijing-Cairo line is the third African route launched by Hainan. The existing Beijing-Dubai-Luanda and Beijing-Dubai-Khartoum line have a cumulative volume of 120,000 passengers.
Hainan Airlines has been operating more than 500 domestic and international routes covering 90 cities in Asia, Europe, America and Africa. The carrier also plans to launch Beijing-Toronto and Hangzhou-Shenzhen-Sydney line this year.
