Dole Fresh Vegetables to use iGPS pallet

Dole Fresh Vegetables will begin shipping its produces on plastic pallets starting in mid-May.

Intelligent Global Pooling Systems will provide its all-plastic, radio frequency identification tagged pallet pool to the Monterey, Calif.-based produce shipper. Other large food shippers to recently deploy the iGPS pallets are Imperial Sugar, Pilgrims Pride and Martori Farms.

iGPS started operations in March 2006 and has offices in Orlando, Fla.; Dallas; New York; and Bentonville, Ark.
