Airbus in talks with China to sell 150-aircraft: report

Sep 15, 2010 Logistics

AIRBUS has been negotiating with China about a EUR16 billion (US$20.6 billion) deal of 150 aircraft, covering one hundred and twenty A320s, ten A330s and ten A350s, according to Parisian financial daily, La Tribune.

A memorandum of understanding has been signed for the sale of A350s, yet this has not materialised as a firm deal. Since Air China is in talks to buy five to 10 new A380s, the entire order can be enlarged to 200 aircraft, said La Tribune.

The deal may well be finalised when the Chinese president Hu Jintao visits France in November.
