Exports were up 50 per cent to 43,320 tonnes year on year while imports increased 17 per cent to 16,181 tonnes over the same period. But transshipments increased only two per cent to 482 tonnes.
AAT January-to-August tonnage was up 62 per cent to 319,724 tonnes with imports over the first eight months up 24 per cent to 129,257 tonnes against the same period last year. Transshipments fell three per cent year on year in the same period.
