THE global RFID business is predicted to grow 420 per cent in value over the next decade, following a five-fold increase over the past 10 years, according to IDTechEx chairman Dr Peter Harrop.
This as well as other topics will be discussed at the upcoming annual IDTechEx event RFID Europe in Cambridge, UK to be held from September 28-29.
The conference will discuss the key points of the new IDTechEx report, "Apparel RFID 2011-2021." Logistics is an application gaining market share and the event has user NYK Logistics and others explaining why. Another booming sector is Healthcare, so Savi, Guide Dogs for the Blind, SQS service, Max Pharma and CETEMMSA will be giving presentations on this area.
Queralt will also talk about Real Time Locating Systems; Sunchon National University in Korea about printed RFID; Optaglio of the Czech Republic about HoloRFID plus Telelegesis; UCC will discuss Wireless Sensor Networks (third generation active RFID); and users Air France and Copenhagen Airports will report on RFID in aviation.
