Mexican airport operator Grupo Aeroportuario del Centro Norte SAB began operations at a new US$61.3 million terminal in the northern city of Monterrey, reported Dow Jones Newswires.
"The new Terminal B satisfies the growing infrastructure needs of the Monterrey metropolitan area and Nuevo Leon state," the company, known as OMA, said.
Terminal B is designed to serve as many as two million passengers per year on domestic and international flights.
The terminal includes 2,100 sq m of commercial space with stores and restaurants, gates for 13 planes, a parking lot with 594 spaces and a two-way aircraft taxiway.
