Air India to move hub to new Delhi terminal

Aug 24, 2010 Logistics

Air India has signed a deal with Delhi International Airport under which it will move its international hub to the consortium's new Terminal 3, the Economic Time reported, citing a senior government official and a senior Air India official.

"Making T3 our hub is a business strategy on the part of both partners," the Air India official said, adding that the company expects the partnership to help it increase revenues some nine to 12 percent in a year.

The official didn't disclose details of discounts on airport charges relating to passenger numbers, but hinted they could be as high as 30 percent.
