Troubled Japanese Airlines unloads cargo business on Suzuyo

Aug 24, 2010 Logistics

JAPAN Airlines (JAL), which filed for bankruptcy protection in January, has revealed that it has sold its cargo handling operation at Chubu International Airport to Suzuyo & Co Ltd.

This is reported to be one of the cost-saving and restructuring schemes proposed by the Japanese government. JAL said earlier that it will wind up its air freight fleet as part of its corporate turnaround endeavour.
