PERTH, Australia- Agility, a leading global logistics provider, and its Gorgon Project transport partner Linfox, have completed 1,000 line haul road trips servicing the logistics hub that is supporting the Chevron gas field project off the coast of Western Australia. The milestone was achieved without any accidents or Lost Time Injury (LTI).

“It is a testament to the professionalism of our transport partner, Linfox, that we have passed this significant milestone with zero accidents.  We look forward to maintaining these high standards for the duration of the project,” said Mick Turnbull, Agility CEO, Australasia and North Asia.

Agility entered into an agreement with Chevron Australia Pty Ltd (“Chevron”) in 2009 for supply base operations and transportation services to support the Gorgon Project.

The Gorgon Project is a joint venture between the Australian subsidiaries of Chevron (Operator), Exxon Mobil Shell, Osaka Gas, Tokyo Gas, and Chubu Electric Power, to develop the Greater Gorgon gas field located between 130km and 200km off the north-west coast of Western Australia. The Greater Gorgon gas fields contain resources of about 40 trillion cubic feet of gas, Australia’s largest-known undeveloped gas resource.
