AMI appoints UK GM bespoke sales

UK UNIT of Air Menzies International (AMI), one of the largest movers of export air freight in the country, has appointed a sales general manager to assume responsibility for the company's Spot Rate operation.

Neil Cross holds 20 years of sales and heads up the seven-strong team who provide bespoke quotes for import and export shipments, reporting direct to the company's Europe regional vice president Sharon Wright.

"The AMI UK operation has reached a scale where it needs its own dedicated sales professional to focus on all aspects of its sales activity. We are delighted to welcome Neil to this important position," said Ms Wright in a Russia's Transport Weekly report.

AMI, the world's largest trade-only airfreight wholesaler, is a subsidiary of John Menzies Plc and represents 220 of the world's airports and offers a wide range of services and IT solutions.
