Thailand's Finance Ministry has approved a US$467 million fund-raising plan for state-controlled Thai Airways International, a senior ministry official said.
Sathit Limpongpan said the ministry would inject half of the money into the airline, reported Reuters.
He said the airline, 51 percent owned by the government, would not need the $622 million it was reported to be seeking as its financial position had improved.
