Canadian National Railway quarterly revenues rise 25pc

THE Canadian National Railway (CN) has announced that second quarter revenue increased 25 per cent to C$398 million (US$390 million) year on year.


Montreal-based CN reported that its freight revenues increased 15 per cent to C$1.85 billion from C$1.6 billion the year earlier.


Said CN president and CEO Claude Mongeau: "CN has taken advantage of the stronger than expected economic recovery in the first half."
