BAA Ltd, which owns the two London airports of Heathrow and Stansted, reported a first half pretax loss of US$426.86 million, compared with a loss of $832.81 million the previous year, reported Dow Jones Newswires.
Revenue for the half year to June 30 was $1.46 billion compared with $1.43 the previous year.
Encouraging performance during the first half of the year partly offset the impact of volcanic ash and the British Airways cabin crew strikes.
