Forward Air posts US$8 million in quarterly profits

FORWARD AIR CORPORATION, an air freight forwarder, has achieved a second quarter income of US$7.9 million, up from $2.8 million for the same period a year ago on the back of higher volumes.

Second quarter operating revenue rose by 23 per cent year on year to $122.1 million, the company said. It also forecast its third quarter revenue will increase 20 to 25 per cent, Reuters said.
