GUANGZHOU's China Southern Airlines is opening two new air cargo routes in July and August, the first from Guangzhou to Amsterdam from July 24, and the other, from Shanghai to Los Angles from August 28.
Both of the two new routes will be operated by Boeing 777-200 freighters, said Xinhua News Agency.
There will be four flights from Guangzhou to Amsterdam and three flights from Shanghai to Los Angles each week.
Meanwhile, China Southern Airlines will increase the frequency of the Shanghai-Amsterdam cargo flights to six times each week.
This means China Southern Airlines will operate six cargo routes to Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Vienna, Chicago and Los Angles.
In the first half year, China Southern carried 512,020 tonnes of mail and cargo, up 37.7 per cent year on year; and its general load factor was 67.7 per cent in the first six months, an increase of 4.10 per cent.
