UAE's Emirates SkyCargo e-freight hits monthly million kilo mark

DUBAI's Emirates SkyCargo achieved its monthly million kilogramme target for e-freight cargo since it began its paperless air cargo system two years ago, and now boasts of 38 e-freight compliant airports with 12 more to come by year's end out of a 126 e-freight compliant airports worldwide.


The key hubs of e-freight stations of Singapore, Zaragoza, Mauritius, London Heathrow, Munich, Dubai and New York's JFK make up 12 per cent of shipments said a report from fruitnet.com.


"E-freight is the future of our industry, and one we are embracing," said Emirates cargo vice president Ram Menen. "Its benefits are enormous, and we encourage our forwarding partners to adopt it."
