Continental and TAM Airlines codeshare flights

US Continental and Brazil's TAM Airlines, both members of Star Alliance, will codeshare on routes within Brazil and between Brazil and the US effective July 1 after the success of a reciprocal frequent flyer program set up in April.

TAM Airlines vice president Paulo Castello Branco said on top of its flight-linking by Star Alliance it is able to offer more convenience and better service to its customers. "We are expanding our international network through this new stage of our partnership with Continental."

This follows a number of US carriers expanding into the Brazilian market including Delta and American Airlines who launch services in October and November respectively.
