China Southern domestic e-cargo service approved by IATA

China's largest airline firm by fleet size China Southern Airlines has obtained the certificate for its domestic e-cargo service from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), Xinhua reported.

China Southern is the first airline company in the Chinese mainland to obtain such certificate from IATA, signalling that the carrier has made breakthrough in the information technology field.

China Southern has been endeavouring to extend information technology construction. It launched the first electronic manifest in China's domestic civil aviation market in October of last year. It formally launched the fully formed e-cargo service on a flight from Guangzhou to Dalian in May this year.
