Jun 23, 2010 Logistics

BOEING Shanghai Aviation Services Co Ltd has reached general terms agreement for lease-return maintenance work with GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS).

GECAS vice president joined Boeing Shanghai CEO Bernard Hensey to sign the agreement, which provides the cornerstone for Boeing Shanghai to undertake future lease-return work for GECAS.

"Establishing a network of high-quality maintenance providers is key to our strategy of supporting our valued customers," said Mr Flannery.

Lease-return maintenance provides another important market to leverage the expanding capabilities of Boeing Shanghai, a Boeing statement said.

"We are delighted we have reached this important milestone with one of the pre-eminent aircraft leasing companies in the world," said Mr Hensey. "We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship with GECAS."

Boeing Shanghai was established in June 2006 as a joint venture of Boeing, Shanghai Airport Authorities and Shanghai Airlines. The mission of Boeing Shanghai is to provide high-quality modification, maintenance, repair and overhaul services to regional and international airlines as well as to domestic Chinese airlines.
