RUSSIA's TransContainer and Contrail-Byte Siberia have launched a 110-TEU container train to move grain to south east Asia in a bid to expand Russian export potential, according to the Russian Transport Daily Report.
The container train with grain was made up at the terminal of TransContainer at Kleshchikha on the West Siberian Railway with the beneficial cargo owners being SAHO, Siberian Agrarian Holding Group of Companies.
The train will pass to the port of Nakhodka, 100 kilometres east of Vladivostok, and further to the consignees in the ports of south east Asia without repacking in port. Total transit time is about 25 days, said the report.
