EU transport ministers meeting in the Spanish city of Zaragoza have signed a memorandum of understanding to develop major rail transport projects, including the Rail Baltica project, Logistics Finland reports. Lithuania's Minister of Transport, Arunas Staras, said the memorandum lays out the steps that each member state should take to develop the project. In signing the memorandum, Lithuania committed to building a double-track railway line from the Polish border to Kaunas. Mr Staras noted that Estonia had made the most progress in implementing its part of the Rail Baltica project.
