DHL Express to recruit 300 for Cincinnati air hub

Jun 11, 2010 Logistics

DHL Express has launched a recruitment drive at its Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport for 300 workers through July with most posts part-time within package sort, ground and ramp operations.

"Significant positive trends in package volumes, require us to keep our hub operation adequately staffed for peak shipping periods," said a DHL official.

In 2009, DHL Express reconfigured its entire network to reflect its international focus including an enhanced, fully-automated international hub at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) featuring a Quality Control Centre to monitor world events and spot situations that might delay shipments.

The DHL Express hub at CVG serves as DHL's central hub for the Americas region, employing 550 full-time and 990 part-time employees.
