Jun 11, 2010 Logistics

RUSSIA's TransContainer has started transporting auto parts for Sollers from Italy to Russia by rail, skipping the Novorossiysk Black Sea port of entry used before, reports Moscow's Interfax News Agency.

The companies signed an annual contract with an option of its further extension, providing for the delivery of 400 containers monthly. The auto parts are meant for Sollers plant in Tatarstan where Fiat Ducato cars are assembled. Before this, the auto parts were delivered by sea via Novorossiysk.
