THE Chongqing-Taipei passenger flight service has recently started to offer aircraft bellyhold cargo service, Xinhua reported.
The first flight was bound for Taipei, using larger Airbus 330 instead of the MD-90 deployed earlier. The first batch of cargo were microchips and graphite manufactured in Chongqing. On the return leg, the flight carried a batch of cargo from Taiwan for Chongqing Xiyong Integrated Bonded Area.
There are currently three air carriers offering a total of six Chongqing-Taipei flights per week. Passenger load factor of the service has been remained above 90 per cent since commencement of operation and hit 93.8 per cent in April.
