Boeing has won a US research and development support contract valued at up to US$1.7 billion over five years for upgrading the nation's air traffic control system, Dow Jones reported.
The Chicago aerospace company said its prime focus would be on modelling and simulation for the Next Generation Air Transportation System, as well as developing full integration of ground and airborne technologies and operations across all vehicle types including commercial and military aircraft, general aviation, unmanned aerial systems, and rotorcraft.
