CWT Globelink Pte Ltd, an Asia-based NVOCC, has expanded its presence in Europe with the official opening of an office in Portugal.
"Globelink Portugal will be under the stewardship of Fernando Veiga, supported by a strong and professional team with more than 13 years experience in the industry. Fernando's experience and in-depth knowledge of the Portuguese market will be a tremendous asset for Globelink Portugal," said company chairman Tan Choon Wei.
Together with Globelink Uniexco's four offices in Spain located in Barcelona, Valencia, Madrid and Bilbao, Globelink will provide full coverage of the Iberian Peninsula of Spain and Portugal.
Globelink Portugal will operate direct consolidation services from origins in Asia and Europe into Portugal. In addition, there will be a twice weekly trucking service connecting Oporto and Lisbon with both Barcelona and Valencia, a company statement said.
With the opening of Globelink Portugal, Globelink's network now comprises 82 offices across 15 countries. In addition to Portugal and Spain, Globelink has offices in Australia, China, Egypt, India, Korea, Kuwait, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam and UAE.
