GAC strengthens shipping marketing team in Japan

Tokyo: GAC has strengthened its presence in Japan with the appointment of marine sales engineer Yuichi Adachi (pictured) as marketing manager - shipping for Japan. He spent the past three years as local division manager of ABB K.K. Japan’s marine & crane division, responsible for marketing and sales of specialised electric propulsion systems. Prior to that, he held a variety of managerial, engineering and marketing and sales posts for Sojitz Marine and Engineering Corporation in the Japanese maritime sector.

Neil Godfrey, group sales director – shipping, says this appointment bears witness to GAC’s commitment to the Japanese shipping market, adding: “It is important for us to have people in our team with a sound understanding of our customers’ demands and desires – both technical and commercial – and Adachi-san has the background and experience to help us do just that.”
