Agility Malaysia wins TAPA security accreditation

May 15, 2010 Logistics

INTEGRATED logistics services provider Agility has announced that two of its facilities, including a logistics hub facility within its first year of operations, have attained Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA) certification.

Both the logistics hub facility in Bukit Jelutong, Shah Alam and the Finished Goods Hub for Hi-Tech Operations in the Sungai Way Free Industrial Zone in Petaling Jaya have attained a warehouse classification Level A.

To obtain this, Agility adopted the Security Management Framework and implemented processes in accordance with the Freight Security Requirements (FSR) established by TAPA. These facilities are also Quality Management Standard (ISO9001:2008) certified, a company statement said.

"Security during transit and storage is pertinent to customer satisfaction and Agility is intensely devoted to providing its customers with service that exceeds their expectations. The implementation of new security systems and stricter policies in regards to security will assure customers that we are working hard to provide safe, secure and reliable logistics solutions," said Malaysia-Singapore CEO Mykell Lee.

Agility said its management systems are subjected to rigorous testing procedures to enhance customer assurance and that it has adapted security policies that "surpass competitor standards".
