FedEx restricts freight as services resume

Apr 23, 2010 Logistics

FedEx Express has resumed service to Europe from all points it serves globally.

However, FedEx warned that it was not accepting International Express Freight (IXF) or Airport-to-Airport (ATA) shipments.

The company’s money back guarantee will apply to all eligible shipments that are tendered to FedEx beginning on April 23.

FedEx Express restored its service to Europe with flights from the US, Asia and the Middle East to and from Charles de Gaulle in Paris and has steadily increased its operations as more airports in Europe re-opened.

From April 19 to April 22, the express operator has flown 3.5 million kilogrammes of freight or the equivalent of 53 MD-11’s inbound and outbound from Europe.
