CEVA Logistics has signed a five-year EUR1.5 million (US$2.02 million) annual contract with Interspor Dis Tic AS, a leading fitness and sporting goods company in Turkey supporting distribution by less than truck load and full truck load, home delivery and dedicated choices.

Ceva will manage the distribution of home and professional fitness equipment and accessories on a daily basis from CEVA's atalca multi-user warehouse to the chain stores and distributors of Interspor. CEVA will also provide home delivery service to Interspor customers. About 900 truckloads of goods will be distributed every year in Turkey.

Interspor logistics manager Abdullah Kizilaslan said in a company statement that the retail market demands expertise, focused support and speed.

"The high knowledge of our markets and the strong presence in the region led our decision to choose Ceva as logistics partner," he said. "Their vast experience in home delivery service allows us to provide high levels of service to our customers."

CEVA Turkey-Balkans manager Aslan Uzun said its unique distribution model in Turkey was one of the key elements that motivated Interspor to select Ceva.

"They not only have the ability to respond quickly to consumer demand, they can reduce costs by participating in our shared network. Ceva's proven expertise in home delivery guarantees that Interspor products and customers are in safe hands," he said.
