SHANGHAI Pudong Airport Comprehensive Bonded Area has passed acceptance inspection by the state government and has become operational, Logistics Week reported.
The facility is in the west of the Pudong Airport, covering an area of 3.59 square kilometres. Deputy Director of Shanghai Customs Zhong Baohua said the facility would promote the development of air transport, industries relying on air as well as bonded logistics and processing.
Comprehensive bonded area is a new type of customs-supervised area that enjoys the same preferential policies given by government as in a bonded port area.
