Airbridgecargo fleet up to nine 747s with new B747-400

RUSSIA's AirBridgeCargo Airlines (ABC), the scheduled cargo unit of Volga-Dnepr Group and the country's biggest international air cargo carrier, has added a sixth B747-400ERF, increasing its total 747 fleet to nine aircraft.

Less than two weeks after taking delivery of its fifth Boeing 747-400, ABC leased the latest aircraft from Air France. "This investment is in support of Volga-Dnepr Group's strategy of continued fleet and network expansion," said a company statement.

"Bringing in additional aircraft, especially the highly efficient, long-range Boeing 747-400ERF will improve punctuality and increase frequencies," said ABC president Tatyana Arslanova. .

"Having this additional capacity will also help guarantee ABC's schedule stability and consistency and produce a positive impact on the airline's overall service quality," he said.
