LUFTHANSA will offer six new destinations in Europe and Asia as part of its summer schedule, operating 12,853 flights, which equals last year's figures.

Lufthansa has already increased flights from Hong Kong to Munich from five to seven a week. Lufthansa will fly daily non-stop to Frankfurt and Munich, offering 14 weekly flights with day and night departures to Germany.

"The high quality perception by our Asian customers and our strong European network help us to master the current challenges of our industry successfully in Singapore and all our Asia/Pacific markets," said Lufthansa vice president Uwe Muelle.

Lufthansa will add Rostock-Laage at the German Baltic Sea coast, the Italian cities of Bari and Palermo, Zadar in Croatia, Chisinau, the capital of Moldova and Tashkent, the Uzbek capital to the new summer schedule. Lufthansa is serving 204 destinations in 81 countries in the summer timetable. The summer timetable runs from now to October 30.
