Singapore's Changi Airport, having already been named Wanderlust's "Top Worldwide Airport" and DestinAsian's "Best Airport in Asia Pacific", picked up yet another first-quarter accolade during this year's Skytax Awards, where it was crowned the "World's Best Airport".
Commenting on the win, CEO Lee Seow Hiang said that Changi's success would not have been possible without encouragement and feedback from its stakeholders, passengers, and visitors.
"Changi has always been one of the world's best performing airports during the 10 years of the World Airport Survey," Skytrax chairman Edward Plaisted said, "I congratulate them on achieving the number one position in 2010."
Up to 9.8 million travellers from over 100 nationalities were surveyed for the Skytrax award, in what marked the organisation's largest poll to date.
