Worldwide biggest demonstration

Mar 19, 2010 Logistics

The biggest showcase ever in Europe of cars 'talking' to each other and the traffic infrastructure to achieve greener, safer and smarter road transport is opening its doors in Amsterdam RAI (The Netherlands) next week, on March 24.

The participants are welcomed to ride in one of the vehicles of the demonstration tour, driving in and around Amsterdam. The demonstration tour is a world premier, presenting the largest and most complex demonstration site ever. About 40 cooperative applications will be shown on public highways and at the off-road safety demonstration area.

Future European road users will benefit from improved road safety, reduced traffic congestion and more environmentally friendly driving. All enabled by the deployment of co-operative systems which are on display at the Cooperative Mobility Showcase.
The showcase will feature the final results of the three major European integrated projects COOPERS, CVIS and SAFESPOT, co-financed by the European Union's Sixth Framework Programme for Research.

The event will be held in association with Intertraffic 2010, the leading exhibition for infrastructure, traffic management, safety and parking.
