RORO, the only exhibition and conference dedicated to the roll on / roll off (ro-ro) shipping industry, takes place in Bremen, Germany, this year. Industry executives, from across Europe, will be treated to a host of new features, the latest innovations and debates featuring leading industry experts at the show from 18-20 May 2010.
As the world economy begins to recover and trade starts to pick up, now is undoubtedly the time for those within the ro-ro industry to implement the most efficient and cost effective business practices available. RORO 2010 will once again showcase the latest product innovations, whilst allowing attendees to gather market information, develop new strategic partnerships and maintain contact with current suppliers.
As the largest event of its kind in Europe, the RORO Exhibition will once again feature leading companies from around the globe. At this year’s show, exhibitors will be showcasing the latest ideas, equipment, machinery, systems, technology and services to visitors. Many of the industry’s leading players have already signed up, including BLG Logistics Group, bremenport, Cavotec, Godby Shipping, Houcon Cargo Systems BV, MAFI Transport Systems, Novatech ApS, Port of Rostock, Secom Trailer Systems and TTS.
Alongside the exhibition, delegates will be gathering in Bremen to discuss the latest developments and trends within the ro-ro sector. The RORO Conference is the industry’s must-attend forum and this year ro-ro transport operators, suppliers and service providers will be debating how to successfully navigate a way out of the economic downturn and comply with even more stringent environmental regulations. The key topics of this year’s conference are the global ro-ro shipping trends, the intermodal challenges, automotive logistics, innovation in port and terminal operations, ship technology, and safety, stability and security.
Attendees will be able to hear from more than 30 industry experts, including representatives from DFDS Tor Line, European Community Shipowners’ Associations, P&O Ferries Holdings, Port of Zeebrugge, Scandlines, Stena RoRo and Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics.
In addition, the RORO 2010 Conference will also include a number of new features. The Industry Outlook Forum will allow delegates to hear top industry professionals discuss future trends in the industry, whilst a Delegate Poll will aim to find out what industry experts think the future holds for the roll-on / roll-off industry. The Roundtable Discussions will give delegates the chance to debate the most important issues that are affecting the ro-ro industry. In the first of the new sessions, representatives from Norfolkline Shipping BV, Stena RoRo, TT Line, DFDS Tor Line GmbH and Scandlines will discuss the impact of the economic downturn on ro-ro and ro-pax links.
