Panalpina expands LA warehouse

Mar 17, 2010 Logistics

Panalpina Los Angeles has added an additional 3,900 sq m of warehouse space, further extending the company's portfolio of supply chain management services to clients in Southern California and beyond.

Lucas Kuehner, US managing director, said: “As companies are increasingly outsourcing all but core functions, this latest expansion in the crucial Southern California market is customer and market driven. Our Los Angeles Business Unit is gearing the new space to clientele that will most benefit from broader and more comprehensive supply chain involvement.”

With the extension, Panalpina Los Angeles includes over 9,290 sq m of warehouse space, 27 dock doors and high-rise racking beneath the 9.8m ceiling. Built in 2000, the leased facility is equipped with a state-of-the-art inventory control programme, a high value cargo cage and full security system with 24/7 closed circuit cameras throughout.
