GAC Logistics (UK) Ltd. has moved to a new purpose-built third-party logistics facility at East Midlands Airport in the United Kingdom, trebling its floor space in the process.
GAC's new facility is located at the 140-acre, rail-connected East Midlands Distribution Center (EMDC), close to the M1 and M6 motorways. The company said one of the main features of the new site is its own X-ray facilities, which will help speed up the transport process by eliminating the need for extended close-out periods at the airlines delivery points.
This impressive new facility will enable GAC Logistics to better serve our customers growing 3PL and warehousing requirements, said Dennis Mead, managing director of GAC Logistics (UK). The move is the first step in GAC UK's strategy to leverage our global expertise to provide specialized services for the fast moving consumer goods, pharmaceutical, textile and entertainment industries among others. GAC Logistics (UK) is part of the Dubai-headquartered GAC Group.
