Weber hires former DHL executive to lead transportation division

California-based Weber Distribution, a provider of dedicated warehousing and transportation logistics on the U.S. West Coast, has appointed former DHL executive Mike Epeneter as vice president of transportation.

Epeneter, who has more than 23 years experience in the transportation industry, was senior vice president of operations, Western USA for DHL Express.

At Weber, he oversees a transportation division providing a range of services including temperature-controlled and dry less-than-truckload, same-day and truckload services, as well as pool distribution, cross-docking/transloading, port and rail drayage, and nationwide freight management. Epeneter also manages Weber's customer service team, eight service centers, and fleet of more than 150 power units and 350 refrigerated and dry trailers.
