Volga-Dnepr hauls giant electro stations across Europe

Mar 10, 2010 Logistics

RUSSIAN airline, Volga-Dnepr, recently transported two 63.8 tonne electro stations from Italy to Russia.

The delivery was made using two of the carrier's Anatov AN-124 freighters, the world's largest fixed-wing aircraft after the An-225.

Group Commercial Director (Charters), Dennis Gliznoutsa, credited the success of the move to Volga-Dnepr's Engineering & Logistics Centre, which provided special trailers and helped arrange the necessary authorisation to move the cargo by road.

Volga-Dnepr's ILC team meanwhile provided the various customs documents and airport passes that were needed.

"Using expertise and experience gained over 20 years in providing logistics solutions to the most complex challenges, we are now able to do everything required to ensure our customers' cargo reaches its destination on-time and in perfect condition," Gliznoutsa said. "We deliver a completely stress-free experience for them."
